ONTARIO TURKEY LAUNCHES THE SUPER YOU CHALLENGE
Program's goal is to inspire Ontarians to lead a healthy lifestyle
KITCHENER (ON), March 9, 2012 – The Dietitians of Canada has chosen March as “Nutrition Month” making it the perfect time to recommit to a healthier lifestyle, better food choices, exercise and taking care of oneself. To help Ontarians get (and stay) on track, Ontario Turkey is launching The Super You Challenge.
“Our hope is that the Super You Challenge will inspire Ontarians to work towards ‘super’ health through our free online resources including tips, articles, tools and access to experts that can answer their questions about nutrition, cooking, fitness and life balance,” said Janet Schlitt, general manager, Ontario Turkey.
Ontario Turkey has assembled an impressive roster of experts to provide advice and encouragement, including Professional Home Economist and Cookbook Author Emily Richards, Certified Personal Trainer and Life Coach Leslie Gordon-Christie and Nutritionist Vanessa Andrews. Cooking and fitness tips, nutritional guidance and delicious healthy recipes featuring Ontario turkey will be posted at makesitsuper.ca, facebook.com/OntarioTurkey and via twitter.com/OntarioTurkey. Online chats with the experts will be hosted on makesitsuper.ca and followers on Facebook and Twitter will have the opportunity to ask questions and have them answered by both the experts and the online community.
“Our wish is to create a supportive online environment where people will be able to share goals, successes and encouragement during more challenging times,” said Schlitt.
For those needing added incentive, Ontario Turkey is also offering the chance to win one of four monthly prizes of grocery gift cards and Ontario Turkey goodies to all those that participate in the challenge by posting, sharing or Tweeting healthy messages. Full rules and regulations are available at makesitsuper.ca/super-you.htm.
